We will drive to explore the city of Marrakech via the motorway, passing through many Berber villages. After approximately 3 hours of driving, we will arrive in the Red City, named for the red sandstone used in its city walls and buildings. Once we arrive in Marrakech, we will begin our tour at the Koutoubia Mosque and Gardens. The 77-meter-high minaret is the tallest tower in Marrakech. We will also visit the Bahia Palace, a beautiful 19th-century palace, and then head to Jemaa el-Fna Square, which comes alive with snake charmers, artists, fire-eaters, acrobats, hawkers, herb dealers, trained monkeys, cooks, and musicians.
